So, today marks the release of SP! Nexus, the first of many to come in this format. Please download, give it a read, and let us know what you think of everything from the format to the content!

This is a very big leap (like across the Grand Canyon) from Self Publisher Magazine. The overall look, format, and presentation displays the experience the EIC and publisher have in producing a magazine covering the independent scene and showcasing that info in a publication that can stand next to (maybe even surpass?) the more well-known mainstream magazines (ala Wizard). I wish that there was a print version available, :cry:so that I can read it wherever I go.
Let me know Mr. EIC!

P.S. Will there eventually be a subscription to SP! Nexus (in full color)? If so, count me in!

Would it be okay if I printed out the .pdf for my own personal reading at my local FedEx Kinkos?

I don't have a problem with that! We will be doing print issues, but they'll be best of's.  As for color, I think that's the plan!

Glad you like it and thanks for the compliments!

Spent sometime looking through it today.  Havent finished looking through it yet but what I have seen looks great.  Really great articles.  Would love to see a serial based comic in there.  One page per issue or something…Like on the back cover maybe?

I know I'm a little behind with issue 2 out recently but I only downloaded issue 1 last week and it's a great read. The interviews and articles were right on the money and I could totally relate to the creators. Great job. I'm kicking myself in the head for not finding this site sooner..  like years sooner.   :'(

Issue 2 here I come.

I just finished reading SP Nexus Issue 1 (finally!), and I must say that the interviews of the creators displays the proper mindset, ingenuity, and creativity of those interviewed concerning their publications and their strategies in promoting them.  The articles on Photoshop and lettering are wonderful for the novice who may be entering the digital production aspect for the first time. Each one is informative and takes a beginner's approach in presenting the information.  The music, comic book, film, video game reviews as well as the bit of fiction give a well rounded coverage and spotlighting that is missed in the mainstream publications.  Now on to issue 2!
