Here we are at Round 4! It's been a wild ride, so go right to it...the final version of the #0 cover: [ image disabled ]
To vote for this project: Click the cover image, order a copy. That's it! The shopping cart should lead you through everything simple and easy, your Log On, if you have logged on at Dimestore, is your e-mail address and same password as you use here. If it doesn't work, don't worry, just check out and it should automatically sync with your account here after. It's been tested both ways, and works fine. Any problems checking out, just ask us!
Vote counting: We count each individual person that votes as one vote, no matter how many copies they order. If you want multiple copies - that's fine. We will be showing a ally of total copies as well as total votes, and when I make my decision on the winner, I will be considering BOTH numbers. There is no "veto" this round, but I will be having a discussion with the judges and decide the winner myself, based on multiple factors played out throughout the contest. I will be posting daily standings through the AUGUST 1st at 11:59:59 PM Eastern time Deadline for voting.
So! Feel free to post comments about the project! Watch for standings and any surprises the creators have set up for Round 4, right here! Ian Shires, CEO P.O. Box 214 Madison, OH 44057
you do? copies won't be printed till September....for the official copies people will vote for the project on... Ian Shires, CEO P.O. Box 214 Madison, OH 44057

Off to an interesting start, I think I'll just toss the numbers out there, then I have to get to work on an issue with overseas order postage calculations...fun!!

LOL, yeah Cary was right and I know why Ian is concerned by that. I was emulating the beer guy at the ballpark. Maybe I should change it to say.
"I got's Spud here! Buy your Spud #0 here!"
Wow, we matched Warpath for copies but not votes. interesting. Time to recruit the masses in.
Can we buy (vote) for ourselves as well? Does my purchase count separately if my wife bought one? Just curious.
One more little thing. Why did my post count drop to 0. I had like 300+. I saw some other folks got restored so was just curious. I want my enthusiast (or SPI Contestant) icon.
each separate person who buys an issue is counted as a vote. your wife can vote provided she has her own card or account, at least as far as i understand the rule. however, only the first issue purchased by any one person counts as a vote. ie you can buy 300 issues to take to conventions, but that only counts as one vote. As for post counts, our switch of CMS - the forum system is very different, and post counts are a casualty. I don't have as much option and control in this forum as the last....but it still lets us communicate....so... Ian Shires, CEO P.O. Box 214 Madison, OH 44057
The round's starting to warm up...and projects have kicked their endgames into gear. It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out, as Warpath sets the early pace pretty high.

The reality of the Round 4 starts to set in right about now. People start to see how much easier it is to get people to vote yes, that's a great project, than it is to get them to say, yes, I want a copy of it printed for my collection. With over a week left in the voting period, only one thing is certain right now: One project will win. Will it be current leader, Warpath, leading the charge? Will it be this year's "underdog" surprise, Spud, who rises to claim it's place? Or, how about the dark horse project, Tokyo Gonzo, which the judges all got behind to send to Round 4? Whose project is going to claim the title this year? We will see!

I can't believe, in the week so far, it took till just now for someone to point out the links were bad!!!! Gaaaa! Fixed links folks:

Slow sales, but slow and steady evening out of the top 2 projects...we're going to go into this upcoming Final Week of Round 4 with a huge challenge to the projects: How do you translate all those VOTES you got in the last 2 rounds, into supportive fans for your projects future? How will it all turn out? We can't even guess!
1.) 24 Votes (+2) - 2 Mail in (NC) - 27 Copies Total (+2) Warpath 2.) 18 Votes (+3) - 2 Mail in (NC) - 25 Copies Total (+5) The Adventures of Spud 3.) 5 Votes (NC) - 0 Mail in (NC) - 6 Copies Total (NC) Tokyo Gonzo

Welcome to Monday folks, just 5 more days of open voting time (So everyone knows: We will allow a week after voting for Mail-In orders to show up here to be converted from the Mail in slot to the Vote slot...if there are enough mail-ins to make a difference in the final standings - which it did last year). It should be an interesting week!

Hmmm, slow and steady wins the race? I hope so. We're busting our humps to bring in the voters. but man, is it a bear! Oh well, back to work, Whoever said Pimpin' ain't easy was right, even when it's a four foot tall pot bellied super hero that we be pimpin.
Warpath gets their drums going and lays down a solid day's advance, as the other projects continue to struggle to get rolling. With just 3 days (today, tomorrow, and Friday) left to vote...does anyone have the power to catch Warpath? We shall see!
1.) 31 Votes (+5) - 9 Mail in (+3) - 34 Copies Total (+5) Warpath 2.) 24 Votes (+1) - 4 Mail in (NC) - 36 Copies Total (+1) The Adventures of Spud 3.) 8 Votes (+2) - 3 Mail in (NC) - 9 Copies Total (+2) Tokyo Gonzo
